A you tube video on Pastor Daniel channel showed an Atheist debating with Dr. Frank Turek about the truth of Christianity.

Her point was that although the Apostles were martyred for their faith, that was no different to many who have died for their faith in other religions. This is where she misses the difference.

The Apostles were with Jesus for three years and witnessed all that happened. So they knew beyond any doubt the truth of it. Therefore when they were martyred it was from a knowing position rather than from blind faith alone.

No body dies for a known lie.

Even the Sanhedrin who condemned Jesus never disputed the miracles he performed, nor did they dispute that the tomb was empty.

Another point rested on that she would not like there to be an afterlife and preferred death to be the end, she claimed she would feel uncomfortable if she was in heaven and her friend was in hell because of the life they led.

Again she has a view with no evidence to support it, she cannot know God’s pure justice nor can she imagine how good a place heaven is or compare it to how bad hell is.

We need to look at some answers that Mary the mother of Jesus has given when appearing to us at Fatima 1917 and Medjugorje 1990’s . At Fatima she said. If man knew what eternity was like they would do everything to change his life.

At Medjugorje she said in response to the question. Why does a loving God send souls to hell? Answer God never sends anyone to hell, those who go to hell want to be there.

You will often hear Atheists say “There is no Proof that God exists”

They are not wrong! If there was irrefutable proof then we wouldn’t be debating it.

However what would be the point in God being an absolute fact?

Let me give you an example. Remember when you learned to drive a car in the proper manner in order to gain a Driver’s Licence. How do you drive now? In most cases not generally well enough to pass the current driving test. My point with this example is that if God’s existence was an absolute uncontested fact would you be living your life as you do now, knowing the existence of Heaven and Hell, forever, would also be very real. Like the Driving test example would you be living your life in a style to obtain a pass into Heaven?

This is how God can truly judge the souls that come to Earth. God in his wisdom leaves footprints or evidence if you like to be found be those who seek the truth.

Without going into the evidence that upholds the Bible and the life of Christ, you can see evidence in much more recent times. Mary’s visits to Lourdes in France 1858 and Fatima in Portugal 1917 are two cases in point.

You need only to research any of the 67 approved miracles of Lourdes to know that something extraordinary happened, then to top it all the little girl Bernadette (now Saint Bernadette) who saw Mary the mother of Jesus, died in 1879 and whose body can be seen in the cathedral at Nevers in France, displayed in a glass coffin, her body as perfect as when she was alive, She remains incorrupt to this day some 147 years after her death.

Fatima is equally a case in point. Three young children over several months saw Mary in 1917 which finally concluded on October 13th 1917 with the “Miracle of the Sun” witnessed by 80,000 people. Furthermore when the body of Jacinta one of the children who Mary appeared to, who died in1920 was exhumed in 1935 and 1951 her body also was incorrupt.

I’ll leave you with this thought, If no God exists then nothing supernatural would ever happen.
